^^ You should go to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Mi if you get a chance. I believe that is the biggest car show/cruise/meet in the world. Officially it's a one day event, but unofficially it lasts a week or so.

Minolta XG-1, Portra 400, 50mm f2.

Actually, it's more like the entire month before the official Saturday when Woodward turns into a parking lot.
Stop at "The Shell" near 13-1/2 (Normandy) & Woodward "Nightmare Cruise" with a happy ending.

I guess you could argue it goes the entire summer then. I have lived 20 minutes away for the last 15 years. 1 week ahead the shenanigans really begin.

Is it still a Shell? They knocked it down earlier this year. (photo from 2009)

True. My point was that, if you wait until Saturday, you've missed the whole spirit of cruzin' Woodward. OTOH, Saturday isn't a total loss if you want to visit the corporate exhibits.

THEY DID? I moved away from Detroit 3 years ago, & so had no clue. What's there now?

Ah, I agree.

I don't remember if they just rebuilt the place, or if it's something new? I'll keep an eye out next time I go by.

Officially they call it the largest combined swap meet/car show. As it is within the Daytona international speedway. But there are many large shopping center parking lots up and down the coast taken over with people from all over the united states that don't want to or cant squeeze into the speedway.

People come from around the world to buy cars and take them home. Germany and Sweden especially for some reason. I think its the reason it has gotten so big

I know it was very dark this day but all of my shots are processed too dark out of this batch. I wonder if my monitor at home is wonky..or the one I am looking at now?

What you have there is a good image of a dreary day, so it may not be underexposed if you're after realism. For a more pleasing image, I'd be inclined to boost the whites a bit. Got PS? IMO, the highlight in the gas cap could go up to about 250-255, or the white highlight in the pickup maybe about 230-240.

It can be more complicated than this, but I just moved the White Point in Levels to the left to the edge of the white point of the histogram.

Yes I go about it a bit different, and at this point it was very dark still. But in looking at all of these I have brought from home they are all darker than I would normally "save as". I will go back and redo these, I only have about 200 or so done so far.
