I've bought into the last two updates, was thinking I'd skip this one based solely on being happy, but for $119.00 upgrade I think I might just try to "phase" out the whole photoshop part of my workflow. I know you really like Capture so that may be the ticket if you can streamline your process. Still too much of an initial hit for me and I'm not a big user of layers anymore. I use PS for other stuff and do all my B&W work in there. I have a plugin I just can't give up right now and it is for PS only. I'll wait and see what Adobe does in the next year. Image Editing OK

Nov 30, 2017 19:11 | #8 Maybe you should contact them. I knew there was an update because I read thye released the Beta and I did not want to pay for an upgrade. Not sure what the actual date was when I got the plan. If I had have chosen Capture it would have been the same day. Image Editing OK

Dec 12, 2017 22:28 | #10 I am still on the trial - went from 10 to 11, will buy 11 though. I like the software 'style'. I think it is a ways off replacing PS for me, but it has reduced my need to go into PS which is helpful just in terms of file/image management and disk space. Edward Jenner

Still using Lightroom 4 also, but Capture One looks appealing. Capture one is a very good program in many respects, however, it is quite pricey. It currently costs $299. I played with the trial for a few weeks. While it has many significant strengths I did not care for the interface design and the implementation of many of the tools, which of course is a very personal thing. That, in combination with the high price tag, eliminated it from my consideration. Keep in mind however that I already am an owner of the standalone version of Lightroom 6, and the new DXO Photolab, which I really love, but which doesn't have quite as much functionality Capture One.
