Hyped for HyperAdapts...

Remember those Nike shoes that auto laced for Michael J. Fox in the movie "Back to the Future?" Well... This is its little brother... The Nike HyperAdapt v1.0 with E.A.R.L. technology... The four letter acronym stands for Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing... Each shoe retails for $720 (USD), but can fetch over 4-figures in the secondary resale market... I was honored enough to photograph three of the 5 colorways of these sneakers... 1DX + 135L... ISO 100, f/2.5 @ 1/1250sec... Strobist wise, I used a Profoto B1 + Westcott 36" Deep Octa (above the shoes) and another Profoto B1 + Profoto 24" Deep Octa behind/above-right of the front shoe...

:)

Hey guys, I bought a 135mm f2 from canon refurb store last month. I was using it with my rebel. this month bought a 6dii. I also bought a 35mm f2 IS which was also delivered today, and it is like twice as fast as the 135mm on 6dii.

Is this normal for 135mm?

I have reuploaded the videos.

35mm f2 IS auto focusing on 6dii (external link)

Does the 135mm seem sluggish compared to that 35mm?

vastly different tech in the two lenses...the 135 is old...I don't remember it being super slow on my 5d2 or 7d, but its been a long time since I used it on those. Its really fast and snappy on my two Sony bodies now.

On my 1D-series bodies, the AF is pretty fast... But I don't know if my camera body has anything to do with its quicker AF speed... It still can't beat my 200 1.8L AF speed, though... And that glass is 10+ years older than my 135L... Hehehhe...

:)

thanks for the replies guys. Not that I am dissatisfied with the speed per say, I am more concerned, If it is defective and autofocus motor stop working after a year. So, wanting to make sure the lens is functioning as it should, so I can enjoy its magic on my new 6dii without worry.

Well enough that its one of only two Canon lenses left in my bag! And as well as it works on the A7R2, it works even better on the a9. I use it on both bodies on every portrait shoot I do.
