That is absolutely wild! Props for coming up with that idea!

Thanks, welcome :-)
I do a lot of lens tinkering, to get new photographic tools.

Here a cheap 480mm f/3.8 epidiascope triplet lens on a inter-image ultra-large-format camera setup. Resulting in a DOF like a fullframe 48mm f/0.38 /but there the image is a bit cropped due to light leaks.

I plan do build a even bigger camera, 0.1 crop is not enough for some lenses.

Does anyone have any experience of the Yashinon DX 50mm 1.4? I've seen one in pretty good condition at what I think is a good price and I'm very tempted. I'd be using it on Fuji.

The DX Yashinon's are decent, but the coatings aren't great, they flare a good bit. If you can find a DS-M or YL Yashica, it'll perform better. I actually prefer some of my Yashica lenses over my Zeiss 50/1.7.

I've used several ML Yashica 50mm's... I rate them f/1.9 & f/1.7 as the best. I wasn't over impressed with the f/1.4 I had but that was an early one. The f/2 is good enough too but obviously the slower of the bunch.
