I have been trying to decide if the size advantage of the 300 would be worth getting over the 400. Either way I hope to have either the 300 or 400 by next football season.

Man it was nice to shoot a day game with an amazing sky, nice thin cloud cover that didn’t cut light, just diffused it.

My advice for you with the full frame, if you can justify the cost, go for the 400, the 300 works ok on the 1.3 crop factor of the 1DmIV. But I am working to make the jump from the 300 to a 400 in the off season.

Are you finished shooting football for the year or do you have more games to cover? I will be shooting games all the way through the state championships at the boss hog bowl in some capacity or another.
