Outstanding kite!!!

I was so lucky. I just stopped by the railroad tracks with my Sony and some tacos to eat and watch for trains, when I spotted the little guy kiting above the grass next to the tracks. He spend the next hour hunting over the area, and I ended up taking over 1K shots (even dialed down to 10FPS, you can quickly take a ton)! I will have some more to post soon.

I was so lucky . . .

"Lucky" in this case seems to be code for "Prepared, alert, and ready to work."

Here are some birding video compilations from Lothar Lenz. These are some of the best bird videos I have ever seen. Most were taken on the RX10 MK4

This is one awesome camera. Its nice to know I have a capable camera that can do videos like this.

My RX10iv will be here in a couple of days. I have read every review that I could find, but what convinced me to buy were some of the comments and photos on this forum. I have always used Canon gear (a 1DX3 plus many pounds of lenses), and have been considering a downsized camera for some time. Lugging a heavy camera with a 100-400 lens attached does get tiring after a few hours. The lens on the RX10 looks like a winner - looks like I will find out later this week.

Thanks to all of you for providing the info I needed to make a decision.

Thank you! That is the second picture from the RX that has been explored on Flickr in less than a month. Now more people need to get this camera and use it so I am not the only one posting on this thread :-)

I could really use one of these RXiv, and may rent one to take to the Outback Bowl on NYD. Sitting in the upper-deck, 3rd row 50 YL. It would give me more reach than my a99/200/2xTC combo, and give me a shot at testing it as a sports shooter.

You will not be disapointed Jess. Keep us updated on your purchase. Post pictures and give us your evaluation of the camera.
