This lens is very sharp and the colors it produces are prime like. Very impressed! Comparing it to my now aging 70-200 f/4L IS it really makes me wish they would update that zoom. The telephoto is sharp, but the 24-70 puts it to shame!

I have the 70-200 F/4 IS as well. I'm not so sure about putting it to shame. Mine is equally sharp as my 24-70, but yeah, the 24-70 beats it on contrast.

I've been thinking of a 24-70 with some kind of image Stabilizer technology (don't have to be Canon). I don't have time to setup a tripod all the time.

You've got that 5D IV. just bump that ISO to 800. It will look almost identical to ISO 100 at less than 2000px on the long edge.

Awesome! You got that out of the 24-70? I never even tried. I may have to reconsider.

I haven't had much time to shoot, but while I was waiting for a tire to get fixed, I took some panning shots on random passing cars. They weren't moving very fast, but I like the way they turned out anyway.

Love the 8 second hand held result (leant against the window to keep it steady)
