great portrait. Zoo bird? Not too many bald eagles flying around Nor Cal (there are a few, but hard to get close)

I think this was in Alaska if I remember correctly. It was quite a while ago that I took this picture and only recently reneged to dig it out of my backup while cleaning up old files.

This one attached below was a zoo bird

Nice one Paul, I've been out looking for them a few times this autumn, still haven't seen one though.

Thank's Sid, they are still showing now.....You tend to hear them before you see them, they have a "ping, ping" type sound. The best place to view them is Westhay Moor or RSPB Hamwall in Somerset I saw several last weekend at RSPB Greylake also. They move in small groups low down in the reeds but occasionally you will get 1 or 2 scouts pop up high in the reeds or branches to have a look around to get their bearings.

Lovely shot and nicely isolated. All my Bearded Tit shots have reeds in the background.

Thank you Jack, yes your right most of my shots I have are amongst the reeds also, the locations I have mentioned above are close to me so I'm fortunate to be able to visit often so get opportunities where they just so happen to show on the right reed or twig at the right time.

This is gorgeous. Great light, processing, composition. It doesn't even look real. I love it.

Thank you Kindly Ed, The only processing I do is on Canon's DPP free software, although I have photoshop I can not get on with it and get frustrated and inpatient.

This was in Chilkat State Park in Haines AK. Also, interestingly enough the Zoo I sot the second picture was actually the Peoria Zoo in Peoria IL. It is surprising how similar the environment looks in our pictures!

Such beauty on a dark, dull, miserable grey morning. This Male Bearded tit was easy to spot.

Yeah, I've been to Ham Wall a couple of times and they're regularly seen at Chew Valley lake where I haven't seen them too! Just one of those things.
Another lovely shot from you though.
