A question: how far do you have to walk on average to get areas where these photographs are taken?

Walking through the snow sounds romantic but it can be brutal. I did a fair amount of it when I was younger, living in Montana. I'm not sure, even if I was able to head up your way, if I would have the stamina to get where the foxes and pine martens reside.

You know how much I love seeing your work.... but I have to say, if I could find a way to join you and get some of my own, well.... that would be something else entirely. ;)

I'll bet with the right bait, he doesn't have to walk very far at all.

I have to drive my car atleast 20km to get to these kind of areas (I'm living on the coast 300m from the sea).
I usually go on hiking trails appr. 5-6km, but this time I found this fox after 300m, he sat down for 30 seconds and then he was gone.
fortunately I allready held my camera in my hands ready to shot.

I was about 30m from this one... never been that close before.

Most of the squirrels in my back yard are timid and will bolt if they see me, even from a dozen yards away. This guy? This guy was annoyed that I had the chutzpah to shoot him during dinner.
