A couple from my local zoo processed in black and white.

I enjoy photographing big cats because they tend to be quite expressive and mysterious. Using the 400mm f4 DO MK2.

Werribee Open Range Zoo in Melbourne, Australia have welcomed the arrival of four new additions to the lion pride back in August 2017.

This is Lioness Nilo’s second litter of cubs and father Johari’s third litter. The two female cubs have been named as Asali and Ilola and the two male cubs are Ato and Lwazi.

I have photos of Johari as a younger adult... at Taronga (sydney) before he was sent to Werribee... lovely to see he's just as handsome and long suffering with littlies as his dad Bruiser (who now lives at Hunter Valley Zoo)...

That Snow Leopord enclosure looks wonderfuly naturalistic, lovely captures.

The enclosures here at the Singapore Zoo are very well designed and 90% are cage free. The landscaping inside the enclosures are well maintained. The Tiger enclosure is very large and as shown has its own waterfall. The Cheetah enclosure has two cats and have enough space for them to run a bit but not enough for them to get to full speed.

I have recently been trying to capture and create more images with black background of the Zoo animals. To me, removes the distractions and conjures the feel of a more intimate capture of having been photographed in a studio.
