I think the current composition works very well. The black space serves to frame the subject. A tighter crop would feel suffocating, I think.

From a motorcycle shop in San Pedro, Ca. Some really cool bikes in there. This image was converted from color. This was a very clean example of a Triumph Trident, and fitting that the image works well in black and white.
