I was just thinking about that today, Ian. I am going all by myself....driving to San Jose where I will fly to Seattle, then from Seattle to Bozeman, Montana. I hope I can haul my suitcase by myself as I have to take heavy duty clothes & boots for a week. I usually travel pretty light but this will be quite different for me. Plus my camera bag will be loaded with 2 bodies, a long lens & a wide lens. Praying for decent flying weather.....

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

So.......... I sold my 5DMK3 camera, my 300mm f/4 and 85mm f/1.2 lenses and bought the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lens. I took over Skip's 7D2 camera and am taking that combination to Yellowstone with me along with 5DMK4 + 24-70 lens. I am now starting to practice using them together & so far, I have about a 70% success rate as sometimes I think I am shooting too close at 400mm. Plus I just changed some settings on the camera so I will go out Friday & see what I can do again. Here is Mr. Grayson at the park yesterday.

Sounds like you have a great combo for the trip and you've got to be getting excited to go. I look forward to seeing pictures.

Great set-up Maureen. You'll be very glad that you have it. I know you're going to have a blast! My goodness, Grayson has gotten big. Seems like just yesterday when he was born.

I know Mark. he will be 16 months on the 27th. He is so dang cute, says everything and is a real character. He is quite the dancer & thinks his adorable grin will get him anything he wants.

With that two camera set up the forum may have to start a Mo Yellowstone section just for you. :)
Hope you have a great trip in Yellowstone.

Yes, Jo. I took over Skip's body as he doesn't do much with photography anymore. It only had 229 shots on it.

You don't want to know what I imagined when I opened the thread and those words popped up. It was a "Let me out of here!" experience.

Miss Ella will be 3 on the last day of this month. She told me she wanted a red cape & blue mask for Christmas (I made her one as well as for each of her brothers) & she loves Tangled, Frozen & Moana. As little as she is (25 lbs) she is mighty. When Tristan took her favorite swing she set out to dump him off & reclaim it for herself. As you can see, she was successful (don't you love Tristan's boots in the air as he goes down?). She makes me laugh every day.....and I am pretty sure all my gray hairs are coming from her as well.:-P
