I seem to recall that someone on this huge thread used GreenToe to buy an A7rIII... does anyone know what (if any discount) they might come back with?

Robert, MedicineMan just did...

From my last photo outing a couple weeks ago...stole away for sunrise while on the road for work...thought I was going to get shut out by fog and clouds...got one image from the quick outing.

GT = 2999 for the R3. I've been buying gear from GT and saving a good amount. on newer stuff, you cant negotiate further, but older stuff, multiple offers can get you better deals.

which strap is that?

Canon E1 handstrap. Discontinued. It’s replaced by the E2. Main difference is new one twice the price, $44, not contoured as E1, but screws into tripod hole. E1 required either the bar that was built in to 1 Series on bottom of camera, or a plate which included a bar. The RRS plate, which is on my A7R3 has a bar to attach it to.

Haha...that’s me as well. :p

And me too. I find the Canon E1 strap to be very comfortable. I also have the Herringbone leather strap, but it's sitting on my shelf. LOL

Wow for me too. I really love Travis' work.

I think Travis, Alfredo, DavidA, MM, Carlo, Vinz, Gene, Charlie just to name a few on this board all have their own unique beautiful style, and I really really love all your work. I know I only push likes and don't comment much but you guys are inspiring and motivational to people like me. I've been in love with photography for over ten years now and have done variety of shootings from sports to portraits, paid and unpaid. I have finally stopped doing any paid gigs and tried to only focus on what I want to shoot, for my own pleasure. But even that doesn't happen much because of busy work schedule or just simply being lazy. I keep coming to this thread (my only following thread on POTN) and always make me realize how much effort all you put into photography. Most of you guys all work and have families, but still put in giant efforts and time to take those beautiful pictures. Not only your great work, but your passion really wows me.

I would like to take a brief moment to thank you guys (and everyone else who shared their work here) for doing what you are doing. Happy belated Christmas and may all your wishes come true in the coming 2018!

I wanted to test an image with lots of detail so here's a shot of my bar using pixel shift with no edits other than saving the final image as a jpg with a quality of 12. The file size is 30.3 MB.

If you'd like to see the image at full resolution, you can click the link below. Oh, I did add my sig to one of the bottles. ;-)a

Here's my slider comparison of my bar image. On the left is a single image shot normally and on the right, the 4 image pixel shifted merge. No edits were done to either image other than to crop close to show the details. The increase in detail is obvious and I see no areas of individual pixels for this merge.

That is really impressive, the added detail is very obvious.

I'm one. 10 percent. Which is what the Riii will sell for in 9 months, and I tied
what a student discount would bring today.
I bought the a9 used from an FM member who owned it for 2 weeks...wouldn't AF his
EOS kit to his liking. I told him to weight for the MB update which would come. He didn't
wait.
So I save close to $900 using this approach for both a9 and Riii which sounds good but look at used a9's now
at FM; $200-300 cheaper than what I paid.
Point?
All cameras depreciate. Sony's more quickly.
Next point?
As soon as the Riii lands on your porch it is outdated.

Few of us are clean, most of us are gear addicts. Hooked I say.
