Been using FxIF for years but it's not compatible with the latest Firefox version and the FxIF author says he has no plans to update.

Anyone using FF57 know and use a good compatible substitute?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/ (external link) and search for "exif" brings up several options - but only two are exif viewers. One is wxIF which is a WebExtensions port of the FxIF add-on. The other is "Exif Viewer" which is a far more comprehensive option - maybe a bit OTT depending on your needs.

Thanks, Dan. I had found those two mentioned but apparently wxIF doesn't work with FF.57, and Exif Viewer seems designed for Chrome. I was hoping that someone had installed an EXIF add-on that definitely works with FF.57 so that I wouldn't have to download and try several in vain - as I have done already.

In the meantime I'm sticking with FF56 and have disabled updates so that I can continue using the add-ones that I like and that work.

They both work with FF 57.0.2 I have them both installed and have tested them on some images posted here.

Thanks again, Dan! I hadn't realized you had actually installed wxIF and used it successfully with FF57, and I had read it was incompatible.

So I've now disabled FxiF in my FF56, installed wxIF, and it works. Now I'll update FF to v57 and keep fingers crossed.

P.S. Now updated and it works as you said!:-D
