Nice! I feel like we had a several great sunsets back to back leading up to Christmas, and I was too busy to capture any of them.

A few from yesterday morning. They light was really strange, as there was a layer of fog over the coast with small dense clumps here and there. It made for odd colors as the sun burned through some areas and not others.

indeed, really wanted to go to the beach, but was so short on time, could only scrape a few minutes at the park. A snap of Christmas day, sunrise....

recently can mean different things to people, my last purchase was a long time ago.... 2 weeks

hopefully I'll control GAS this coming year, I dont want the wife catching on ;-)a

sigma 35 f1.4, if it materializes and is small. No interest in a big lens. If that doesnt materialize, then in march, I'll probably do the field curvature fix for my CV 35 and be done with it. Fred was going to sell me his front filter, but I think he's changed his mind and decided to keep it. Guy sold his as a package with lens......

my last lens was the FE90 in October so not too bad. When the sigma lenses land though things may change. They will have to be small though like you say

Can anyone with the FE 501.8 comment on how bad the AF is on the A7rII/III. It's super affordable and compact but for my personal photos might not cut it if the AF can't keep up with the kiddos

I use the 50 1.8 frequently with my kids. I’ve never had much of a problem. I do feel that my 5D4 is better suited to kids, but I’m not sure if it’s the camera, lens or my inexperience with the camera.

I do use it all the time, and it's fine for most purposes (photos + video).

make sure to get the latest firmware updates to the lens.

both images SOOC, it's a nice lens that I dont hesitate to use. While the blur isnt perfect, it's rather smooth, and who doesnt love Eye AF of a native lens?

Looks good to me Charlie.

I'm not looking for a world beater in terms of IQ....most of the family stuff I shoot doesn't really warrant the need for that. Biggest concern is the AF, since the reviews seems to harp on this a lot. Sounds like it was corrected via firmware though.
