Dec 05, 2017 06:48 | #19 High iso noise is little disturbing when underexposed. Few more from my trip. I am missing sometimes those manual controls on SL2 body. In order to shoot between static subjects and other subjects I kept on fiddling between A and S. SL2 doesn't remember my EV setting. I need to reset it again every time I start camera. ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/229edHG ![]() Canon 6D Mark 2, 50mm STM

While it is a great example, I wonder if exposure was a little brighter you could recover clipped highlights and be even better off with pushing shadows? It was ISO 100, and I could have exposed about 1 stop more before clipping the sky. If highlights clip in the raw, there is no way to get them back, they are maxed out at 255,255,255, so I didn't want to do that. I could have pushed the exposure more to the right before clipping, when I look at the original JPG. It was more a test anyways to see what could be done vs older previous bodies I have used for this. It is nice having this kind of leeway on a lower end camera, as that is what I buy for my wife in her real estate ventures. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Dec 10, 2017 02:18 | #25 Is it possible to switch between setting aperture vs shutter speed with wheel in M mode. Default behavior is to use wheel for shutter speed and need to press EV button for setting aperture. Canon 6D Mark 2, 50mm STM

Change custom function I-3 (Exposure comp. auto cancel) to Disable and you'll be good to go. The touchscreen and output files are pretty amazing...and the SL2 is super easy to shoot with. Just a few little tweaks in DPP because that is all I have that can read these RAW files ATM!
