I have made it more of a point to photograph family members lately...especially as they start to get older...this is my father in law, the light in their living room is perfect for this kind of lighting...his favorite holiday of the year is Christmas, he has worn that ugly sweater every year for as long as I have been around and then some...

What kind of metering are you using? The meter reading will vary based on what metering you have set up, not on how the histogram will look. I normally use spot and meter the subject.

I tend to use spot metering as well. I like making sure the spot I am focusing on is the spot that is metered for.

"Cool" nice lens and shot.
Rare to find images on here of places I've actually been to [LIve in Europe] also brings to mind [If you don't mind me reminiscing] going to the Traildust [I think] 63oz T-Bone baked potata & colslaw, eat it all in 1 hour it was free ! Had a big kids slide indoors and they came around cutting folks ties off.

Thank you. I'm glad the image reminded you of your trip to Dallas. That restaurant sounds crazy!

Another one from this morning. These stairs are literally right at the back of someones home. Imagine, your backyard being the Pacific ocean.

The lens shade is not removable on the CV 12. :(

Fred and Guy say the 12-24 is sharper.

I chose CV 12mm because I wanted a similar small physical size of the lens and similar rendering (same 10 point sunstars) as the Loxias. Filters are not important to me at 12mm - if I want a LE, I wait till blue hour or just use one of my other lenses.

Thank you David

Still looking for answer about LR 6 doing a7RIII raw files..... Anybody ???
Thx

By the way MM, to get the first shot I posted earlier I was knee deep in that water in a pair of shorts. However, since it's winter here I did have a sweater on. ;-)a

I was at Spot Metering Standard. It's light meter or histogram for me now. i've learned my lessson.

I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the meter in your camera. If the spot meter is aimed at something white then +2 can be expected. Learn your meter, rather than blame it. Bear in mind too that it is a reflective meter, not an incident meter.

My old a6000/FE55 combo was a winner and I miss it at times.

I think the very last update should have support for the R3, but going forward, no more support.

Wow! It’s mega cold here At the moment with temps down to -7 Celsius last week. I had to do a quick google there to check the conversion for Fahrenheit and realised your 0 degrees would be -32celcius!!! Holy mother of god. Never been that cold here since the ice age
