Can someone enlighten me as to how to upload a file? I do have a Dropbox acct that I almost never use but I have never made a file accessible for general download. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

Before and After - The Weekly Editing Challenge
...now compiled into a single, easy to locate thread, that can be added to your subscribe/follow list!

Rules are simple:

Download the image file from the current week
Contestants will have 7 days to edit the image and post their edited version to the thread (1 entry per week)
The owner of the original image will choose a winner and runner-up
The winner will copy & paste this post and include a new downloadable image link

The new image must be unedited / SOOC (straight our of camera), full-resolution, and in a RAW format, ie. CR2, DNG, TIF, etc (Dropbox works well for uploading and linking these large files) The purpose of this game is to be creative and learn new editing techniques. You must give some insight into exactly how you went about editing the image. For example, increased shadows sliders, reduced highlights, local sharpening, white balance adjustment, specific filters used, tone curve adjustments, etc. Comments and/or questions regarding the edits are encouraged. Here is the link:

Basic adjustments in ACR. Into PS for a little dodging, then selected the foreground and copied to a new layer. Blurred the background layer and bumped the exposure down a scosh. Copied them to a new layer. Used the crop tool to straighten and adjust crop with content-aware fill for the blank areas of the canvas. Exported for web.

Edited in acr and ps using multiple layers and adjustments. Darkened bay horses so they would look more like blood bays. 2nd image created clipping mask using powder brushes and gave it a floating frame.

In PS CC 2018 ACR editor, increase exposure .5 stop, reduce highlights/open shadows, adjust white & black points. Open in PS, duplicate layer and apply Topaz Simplify to boost colors and reduce specular highlights. Crop to white horse and rider to portrait perspective after removing portions of horse on the left. Add warming filter. Save as jpg and open in Fotosketcher to add texture and frame. Reopen in PS and add brass plate and text. Resize to 1280px on the long side to post.
