Stacking attempt

This is a 28 photo stack at f 8.0 with a popup flash and polystryene diffuser.
I think I should have had a different angle and just one or two stick insects, but any ideas?
It is probably the most I have ever stacked - they started to move so I had to stop

Hard to say at this size if you would not have gotten the same result at this angle and distance from just one shot at f16.

I think the second attempt (different species worked better) these are a bit tricky as sometimes they move just a small bit between shots - very annoying.

Yes, these did work a lot better. What the heck is the first one? I can kind of make out a head, maybe some antenna, but that is a strange looking creature.
