I have had the 50L for a few years and never had any of the problems I read about for years before just buying it. I started out with it on the 5D3 and later that year got the 5D4. It performs great on both. I have also used it with an adapter on the Sony A7R ii. I suggest not worrying about all the negative stuff about it on the internet. It will paralyze you. Buy it somewhere you can return or exchange it and you’re golden. Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R5
