Wow

Look at that Bokeh. Yummy

Last week, I let someone borrow the lens for a week to do a review. Once he has posted his review, I'll provide a link here for those curious about the lens.

As a bokeh junkie, I really like the look of that lens. I also like to focul length. I think I like my 50mm f1.2 over my 85mm f1.2.....

I had both for a while but got rid of the 5D4 and kept the 1DX2, I like the files much more.

Happy New Year! This tree is about a block from our house, and our dog insists on walking us by it every morning. We often see one eagle in the tree, but we rarely see two. Fortunately eagles tend to stay put for quite a while, so I had time to go back to the house and get a camera.

Trumpeter swans are wintering in our area. A couple hundred fly by every morning and evening. These were two quick shots while I was watching the eagles.

Just joined the club and can't wait to start using this thing for work!

Question about dual recording. In the manual it says even with the recording set to 'Record to Multiple' you can't record video to both cards simultaneously (like a backup copy). Photos obviously write to both cards, but not video. What gives? I looked around and couldn't find an explanation for this. Is it because they prefer to keep those functions for their cinema line or that the camera wouldn't be able to handle it? Thanks.

Gotcha thank you. I know Canon does like to withhold some features for the cinema line, didn't know if that was the case or if it was an actual hardware limitation.

Congratulations Annie, and if you are keeping the 5D4 then you will find they complement each other beautifully.

To me this is impressive auto focus and tracking, White bird on snow. She is camouflaged well for these conditions. At 10 degrees Fahrenheit after 2.5 hours out there the battery was still fine.

I used a warming filter mask on the snow in this pic to separate her from the snow a little. The contrast was a lot less SOOC.
