It rained overnight and we were expecting our second day at Bora Bora to be cloudy, humid, with scattered rain... But nature had its own plan... This beautiful and amazing rainbow surprised us as we opened our bungalow doors to the early morning light... The sunrise was behind us, so it illuminated the clouds and created this spectacular phenomenon... I initially ventured several feet to the sandy beach to get a photograph, but realized it was too wide... Even for my 16-35LII glass... So I moved from the sandy beach to the front of our bungalow's porch to get the entire rainbow in the frame... What a wonderful and blessed way to start day two in paradise... 1DX + 16-35LII... Lee 105mm CPL + Lee 0.9 Hard Edge GND... ISO 100, f/5.6 @ 1/250sec...

Anyone got som Astro-photo images with this lens?

Tried it yesterday and seems like mine is not so sharp in the edges.

Stars on the edges can be a bit smeared wide open. Quite sharp when closed down slightly. Overall doesn't bother me too much. Both of these images below have been printed large size (30" x 20") and the second one was published on a magazine cover.

Taken at this quaint little vacation home called Robinson's Cove in Moorea, French Polynesia... It was slighly sprinkling during dusk, due to the fast moving clouds that night... To my surprise, it opened up to reveal the sunset just as it was hitting the horizon... I had moments to get my gear setup and take a few photos of this amazing opportunity... Within 10 minutes, the fast moving clouds overtook the enter sky and it was back to cloudy skies for the rest of the evening... Nonetheless, nature presented it self with this amazing light and I'm honored to have captured it... Thanks Mother Nature!!! 1DX + 16-35LII... ISO 200, f/9 @ 20second exposure...

Yes, it's a tough place to visit because you never want to leave.

Hurricane Lane sure produced a lot of nice sunrises for us during our Hawaiian cruise around the islands... 5DsR + 16-35L2 + Lee 105mm CPL and 0.9 SE GND Filters (stacked)... ISO 200, f/5.6 @ 1/125sec...
