I've seen Frank Zappa 5 times and even saw Terry Bozzio with Missing Persons and never saw the drum setup like this. Damn I would love to see one of these shows with the big drum set!

Lucky guy, I'm jealous! FZ was something else. I was born 35 years too late. Missed all the good stuff... Frank, Concorde, the Shuttle, $75k mortgages (but not the >10% prime rate), film photography in its prime...

I still have my first drum set. A 1966 Rogers Holiday, Pre CBS. 9x13, 16x16, 14x22. It did not come with as snare. A friend gave me one of his old Dyna-Synic Snares. Still sound great. That kit looks like fun and a great work out as well.

Good ones to illustrate a serious case of GAS! ; D

What is GAS? I've seen GAS used in some threads here. I'm sure it's not fuel for your car or flatulence...or is it?

Terry Bozzio is an ostinato and polyrhythmic drumming GOD and one of my longtime idols. As for Terry's kit, there is a 360 panoramic video on YouTube that shows what his current set up looks like from the throne, including all 20+ pedals.

Staying more on topic...

I really like the pics of your friend's drum kit, the wide angle distortion really seems to add to the impressive nature of a kit that large.

Taking that kit on the road could be crazy difficult, and a drum tech's nightmare.

yeah only seen him 3 times. Still have a few film cameras, Saw the shuttle fly over Montreal on the back of a 747. Wasn't able to book a ride on the Concorde, and luckily missed the >10% prime rates.

I've been watching music extensively for over 40 years and have seen some of the best drummers in the world and I've Never seen anything like this at a "live" music event. Not that I wouldn't want to, it's incredible but it doesn't look to practical...

Terry Bozzio!
