got a lens question, can a certain lens cause more noise than other lenses? normlly i shoot wide with my rokinon 8mm fish eye in canon mount with an adapter, i just tried and7 artisans fish eye in e mount to try and eliminate the adapter and its a stop faster at f2.8, i like the lens seems pretty sharp etc but when viewing the files on dxo optics i find they are more noisy than the rokinon, i am using this on my sony a7, the files i am editing are at iso 100 and even iso 64 so they should be clean as a whistle but seem noisy as iso 3200. my rokinon doesnt seem noisy at all, so can some lenses cause more noise than others, seems odd to have noise at iso 100 on a full frame, thanx

I am pretty sure they can. I noticed that some lenses also render more beautiful noise. I think it has to do with the light transmission of the lens.

Has anyone tried the Sony A7RIII or Sony A9 + Metabones V adapter with Canon prime lenses , 300, 500 etc.?

I would love a silent shutter camera but Canon hasn't come up with one yet.....-?

When I used to have the 5D3, I had silent shutter via Magic Lantern

Medicine Man shoots with the 400 DO f4 all the time on the a9, although I'm not positive if he used IV or V but he loves the combo even with a 2xTC. He just got the a7rii, so not sure how much he's used it on there.
