RE: Ice beer. Well they may taste "watery", but they have a higher ABV then other lagers. The concept is that they're lagered at a frigid temperature: enough to freeze and subtract some of the water constituents (leaving more concentrated alcohol). It's a type of fractional freezing. Icehouse beer is now up to 6.9%: pretty high for a lite lager! If I'm going for a high ABV, I like imperial stouts that go to 10% or barleywines (hoppy American style) that go to 12%. Haven't tried the highest ABV beer: Sam Adams Utopias can reach 29%. Hear it's like drinking straight cognac....but since it's a limited run, fetches over $200 a bottle. Not worth it IMO if it's like cognac!

New Holland's Dragon's Milk. The brewery is just down the road from us! They have a ton of flavors of Dragon's Milk but Vanilla Chai is my favorite

I'm not a big beer drinker but my favorite is from a Latvian brewery - Valmiermuiža Amber Lager.

So. Good.

The main lager I'll have is Dos Equis at Mexican restaurants. Most restaurants now have craft beers, but if not, I'll also have Sam Adams or Yuengling. I'm from Asheville, NC: now considered "Beer City" (most breweries per capita of any city)....so I have to be more of a beer snob (ales in general for me):-)
