Funny David. The Riii is a tremendous leap from the Rii, but to me that just exaggerates the loss of the apps. Little dinky things
like touchless shutter......and Arsenal is pushed back a couple of months already so it may end up like a lot of Kickstarters and
down the drain.
Sony reminds me of one of the hospitalists I work with nightly=absolutely brilliant but someone who can get lost in the parking lot.

do you guys "prime" your newly bought batteries? when I was young I remember being told to keep the battery in the charger for like 8 to 24 hours (varies by product) for the initial charge and then from that point on you can use as normal

is this still something we should do or has battery tech advanced enough for this not to be an issue?

CCP I've not thought too much about the batteries. I just charge them and go....no lengthy charge initially. On trips though I've forgot they are on the charger and they go over night.

Well, this is how it stands at the moment.......

Certainly needs some testing though right.....

First of my "return" to sony..

although i like to say i never truly left ...as i hung on to the fe 28 and sigma adapter and sony mount zoom lion..(kiinda had a feeling i'd have a sony again.. althoiugh i admit many times i was on the verge of selling it all)

just received the a7riii this morning.. unfortunately mist/rainy weather today .. allday supposedly ,, so i'm sure i'll have a couple of cat pics coming up today

Proxies...... so cool! With that enabled, you can also transfer that proxy to phone via playmemories mobile, and keep the 4K file on camera...... uhhhhhhhh mazing

while low light probably not on Sii level, that proxy feature is pretty darn handy.

yes i was..

the proxie thing was on the sii as well .. kind of .. didn't work well ,, no one thought it was worth using , for got what the issue was but the idea was there it just didn't work out well..
going to try it out with the r3 though..
got the battery charging for a bit , then going in and getting myself familiar , customizing etc..

hoping eye af works well with my canon lenses..

i'm sure ill end up getting the 55 1.8 and 90 macro soon..but in the mean time hoping the canon lesnses work well..
