Imagenomic used to have a community version that was free, and works very well.

You can still get their older free version from download sites, I am not sure they offer a free one any longer.

Great NR tool.

I still use their old payable version, only because Community didn't work with TIFFs.

I still have LR5.7 and PS CS2 but find CS2 a bit fussy in its application like the layer tool wond that puts a halo round an object that needs correcting, I have found unless the edges of the object are very defined, it doesn't cover the whole outline.

I can confirm that it does a very good job. But, if I remember correctly, it's a stand-alone, not a plugin.

noiseware is a plug in, but there is the old free standalone that serves as a marketing tool for selling the plug in.

It's pretty good for a free tool, but there are others, albeit at an expense, that are better, and faster. Just depends on the needs. :)

I am having another more intensive go with PS CS2, i think I have found a reasonable noise reduction work pattern, first by using the noise control all over then using the wond to set the mask (say on a lane in flight) I then apply the de noise again but using no detail or sharpening, after doing that I apply some USM save and exit back into LR, I then apply a small bit of de noise and add masked sharpening and add some color before saving as a jpeg.
