Was in the Lodi area so it was an opportunity to take pictures of the Sandhill Cranes. It was very overcast and twilight, so lighting conditions were horrific. Not the best work ever, but still some decent shots. There are more in the birds in flight, and still more on my smugmug site

It has been agonizingly uneventful here the past week or two, the locals are laying low, surviving the bitter cold. Poor little things :-(

Most days I just come home cold and empty handed.

Afternoon stare down contest, she won. -20C with winds out of the East made it feel like -35C. 60 minutes standing in snow up to my knees put I.S. to the test :)
