I use Canon 5D mk IV paired with the 70-200 L II with IS. I might have used a too slow shutter speed.

Biggest piece of advice? get your shutter speed up there as much as you can. ive found with Luna here (a Cardigan Welsh Corgi) i need over 1/1000 to avoid motion blur sometimes. Yes. Seriously.

Stick to smaller toys, larger ones will be grabbed by the AF system accidentally (Her orange spiked ball works ok, i have some smaller ones but they get lost in the snow too easily)

It takes allot of practice. You need fast AF, and I use only some of Canon's best glass :f/2.8 70 -200 II , 300mm f/2.8 IS, 100-400 II. All work well. I have lots of examples in my gallery. For camera bodies I use the Canon 1DXII and the 1D4. Quick fast reliable AF is an absolute necessity if you hope to capture the best shots of dogs in action.

I took my first trip to Sprewell Bluff in Thomaston GA this morning. I was looking to do long exposures of the water but the top was mostly ice.

My mini me, my boy, my pride and joy! Just turned 4. Started snowboarding a little over 2 years ago. He asked me if he could wear his cape and mask on the mountain today. Naturally, I said heck yeah! What a riot this kiddo is! Takes after daddy FO SHO! ;)

Yep. Agreed totally. the 7D Mark II is amazing at tracking her, especially with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS
