it's more an issue with the time a camera is running. For instance, if you fire off 1000 images in a 2 hour span, then possible. Same thing with the A7 cameras. My eos-M is just as bad or worse than the A7's

it's nothing special.

Good battery life is like the A9/R3 with the z100 battery. That thing is the size of an LP-E6 5D/6D battery. It can probably last a full day of heavy shooting. There are all sorts of reports of sports shooters that range from 3000-8000 on a single battery. Going through that many files seems like a total chore :-P

Pros and Cons to every system, if battery life is your top priority then a DSLR is the best option for you.

As Kim mentioned earlier, look into the X100f. If that is too much camera for you the EX-3 is an amazing option.

Not particularly so in my case. Two hours photo walk, yes, just not this many at one time, but three days in the row.
Live view (video) was cutting it significantly and cold (freezing) temperature as well.
