I think that is a Kit Fox, not a baby coyote. I could be wrong though. Cool find!

Thanks I could be wrong.

Bacon suit... enough said lol

Shooting fox is mostly very difficult. building a connection to a couple is the best over a long time. I dont think most people get great fox images on a close encounter. I mean you can but a prolonged meaningful shoot is very productive and rewarding. The hardest part is first contact. For me it has mostly been in a life saving medicating of the fox ( Mange treatment ) so dont feel your not doing it right. its about good luck and their bad luck.

But there is always the chance you come across all the right circumstances... sometimes the unexpected is very rewarding from a wildlife photographers perspective.

I think you are correct. It is returning today and I got a few new Canon batteries in the mail yesterday. Bite the bullet, spend the $$...

I must have been very lucky, still using 7 year old + batteries, both canon and generic. Actually my newest battery that came with the 7DII is the one that lasts the least length of time. all but two generics are needing to be charged sooner than when I first got them. Its not like I dont shoot a lot. shutter counts on my cameras last august were 7D2 113,381 and 5d3 90.276
