Jan 14, 2018 01:04 | #437 First real outing with the 6DII. My whole family went to a place called Main Event, and the lighting was terrible. Everything was dimly lit and lots of different colored neon lights everywhere. Plus it seemed like every single spot in this building had a different level of lighting. I finally put my camera in Aperture priority and let the camera try to adjust. I still had to adjust exposure on several images in post, so I got a real world test of the dynamic range. ISO 6400IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/DNqVvK ISO 6400IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/22nFiau ISO 1600 with flash, but with so many different lights flashing it threw the metering off so I had to adjust exposure +1.35 and shadows +72. (This seems to me like a good example of how much I would need to push the dynamic range, and I am happy with the results)IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/DNqVex ISO 1600 with flash (This was after we got back home in normal indoor lighting)IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/DNqV1M

RPCrowe Cream of the Crop More info Post edited over 5 years ago by RPCrowe. | Jan 22, 2018 10:12 | #446 I shot this past Saturday with my 7D2 wearing a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens along with my new 6D2 wearing my 70-200mm f/4L IS lens and was quite disappointed in the performance of the 6D2. The 7D2 climbed all over the 6D2 in general image quality. I have to test both cameras with the same lens under controlled conditions in order to do an accurate test of the 6D2. The 7D2 climbed all over the 6D2 in general image quality. I have to test both cameras with the same lens under controlled conditions in order to do an accurate test of the 6D2. In the past I have paired the 7D2 with the 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens and used the 70-200mm f/4L IS lens on a 5D2. There was virtually no difference in general image quality between the images from the 7D2 and the 5D2. The general image quality of the imagery from the 5D2 was, in fact, superior to the imagery from the 6D2. I shot at ISO 320 on both cameras and I had to do a LOT more PP on the 6D2 images than on the 7D2 images. I am so disappointed that I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting rid of the 6D2 and reverting to either my older 5D2 or 7D cameras. Or perhaps dumping all three and buying a 5D4... Would you mind posting some examples?

Doesn't make any sense. Either you have special defective 6D2, or you are being influenced by some non-equitable condition, like undeserved fond memories of the 5D2, or 100% pixel views, with different expectations for FF and the 7D2, or you have been shooting the 6D2 in horrible light conditions.
