I just sold the Sigma 12-24mm II. Excellent lens, but it isn't wide on APS-c. Check out the Sigma 8-16mm. It is better on crop than the 12-24 II is on full-frame.

I am using the Canon 10-18mm.
was weighing the 11-24mm f/4L and the 12-24mm f/4 Art for Full Frame

There's only one "AF" lens that can achieve this shot!!!

Canon send me this loan for an evaluation. So had a chance to tinker around with it yesterday. Awesome lens.

Coping well for the artificial lights, no obvious flare, can you confirm the focal lenghs used, or even better edit the forum EXIF line?

I’ve added the additional info to the EXIF line. The lens does flare at certain angles. Not much though for a lens this wide

Used the lens first time after buying it 8 months ago. Although I used a 10-22 as my UWA lens before, this beast is all another story. Staying just next to a giant building and fitting it inside the frame without any problems :S Perspective is a big issue though, not easy to handle. Will take time to get used to it

I finally pulled the trigger on one of these after reviewing this thread. I do RE work on the side and have been using the Sigma 12-24mm II and EF 16-35mm f/4. With the smaller houses I generally shoot, the 12-24mm is usually the better choice but flare can be an issue.

Before moving to the 5D IV I was using the Sigma 8-16mm on a 7D II. I agree with a post earlier in this thread that the 8-16mm Sigma on crop does a better job than the Sigma 12-24mm on FF.

Was really going back and forth on dropping the coin for this, but finally decided it would be one of those buy once/cry once decisions where the joy of IQ should continue long after the pain of the price fades.

Also hoping that it will be wide enough to replace my Tamron 10-24mm VC for my crop body. If I can sell the Tamron 10-24mm along with my Sigma 12-24mm, Samyang 14mm, and maybe even the 16-35mm it should only be about $750 out of pocket for the upgrade after the few hundred $$$ off of current prices via Canon Price Watch deal.

Now I just have to wait for it to make its way here...
