Found a forgotten image/a snapshot while driving down the road from a bird hunt...then thought maybe more than me (I know you
Cali people don't need a dose) could use a smidge of green and Sun...via the RX10iv

Nice tones and composition on those David.

Would love your thoughts on the Milvus 135 f2 lens. Yes it’s a beast of a lens but so very tempting. Thank you.

are you guys after the new coatings? if not and you are more interested in the classic look, look at the Contax 135/3.5 as well as the 100/2 planar or makro planar. the sonnar 90/2.8 in G and the 85/2.8 have beautiful rendering at least for me.

100/2 is regarded as a zeiss 3d pop machine.

I think I'm caught up with the thread.
Lots of good things going on (Eddie, wow landscape all I can say).
Randall I love living through your lens...you know a hillybilly like me would be scared
to death to walk those streets!
Eriet-my prayers man, big time.
Travis I have to wonder how MANY EXPLORES you got from Joshua Tree!!

I'm time shifting getting ready for my night gig in the hospital/staying up late so I can think at 0300 in a couple
of days. Did this picture up for the lady at EasyCover once the last one got here. I know many don't like them, but
I mod mine out to even work with battery grips, apply Sugru where I need it, and just love the protection factor from
dings/nicks/bumps. I guess going through a bush for a bird or moose and I'm more likely to catch a branch or something,
plus I like the feel/grip they give. Regardless this was my night's project, another family portrait (shot with the RX10iv and
3 Godox's), front to back: a6500, a7Rii,a7Riii, a9-

MM, I'll call your movem hehe. I have a copy of the easy cover and on top of that I put a leather half case. the half case is obviously just a teeny tiny off but not enough to bother me.

talk about being paranoid hahaha. my a7s only has the leather case Gariz version but that's because I haven't found an a7s version of the nylon cover here

also my nylon one is actually made for the A9 but it fits well enough

Which 100/2 is that (you mention a planar as well as the makro planar)?
Of all the lenses I’ve sold over the years, the Makro Planar 2/100 ZE is one that I wish I still owned. The Apo 2/135 is perfect, but clinical and lacks character (Batis likewise). The 2/100mm ZE just has a special magic in the rendering. Also it’s a lot smaller/lighter than the 2/135mm.

just the planar one. there's a very long thread on FM about 3d pop and that's where I got the lead on the 100/2 Planar.

the MP 100 though is also very very good (MP - Makro Planar)

Speaking of Batis, anyone need a B18?
I used it one time. Just not for me.

Here is the statue at the university pictured earlier.
Use the 12-24mm at 12mm and a crop. You guys know I'm not a building/architecture/statue
shooter but I have to admit the superduper wide angle is fun.

Last statue guy. I wanted you to see the horse was leaning away from the camera, the sword not visible before, and the tassel on his head. Me
still learning the 12-24 :)
