That's some master class work vinz
Thanks. I was just inspired by Adorama TV's tutorial by Gavin Hoey. Only he used 2 Rotolight Neo and I nailed it with cheap LEDs.

Current Hiking lenses - CV15 (298g) & Lox21 (394g) Current Astro lens - Samyang 24 (670g) - Only carried when out with my full landscape kit in a photo backpack so weight isnt an issue Im now thinking I should sell the CV 15 and the Samyang 24 and purchase the 16-35GM (680g). Then I could simply take the one lens when hiking (12g less than current combo) with the added benefit of loads more focal length. I would lose my astro lens but the 16-35GM has good coma from what I have read from wide open. Main loss is speed drop from f/1.4-f/2.8. I would then still have my lox21 for lightweight walkaround kit (currently L21/FE28/FE55) Am I mad for considering this ? I don't think so. You have both focal lengths covered all bar 1mm. You shouldn't miss any faster aperture shooting landscape anyway (in general) It's less hassle having to swap lenses continuously. Plus, you're not having to swap lenses in less than idea conditions/environments.

It's a very similar swap to me trying the 28-70OSS - just on a lesser value that's all I did consider the 16-35GM myself but I think I'd want something longer in all honesty. If I get on okay with the 28-70mm I might be tempted to upgrade to the 24-70mm but from what I've read IQ isn't too much different so we'll see...... That's something for later in the year ![]() ![]() Thanks Lee. I’ve got this notion of simplifying my lenses down and this seems like a good starting point. I’ll then wait and see what sigma announce which will potentially change the midrange lenses depending on reviews (sigma 35 to replace 28 & 55 for example) Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

That's something for later in the year ![]() ![]() wait for the 24-105 to drop in price. I see that it's a very popular lens and since it's been flooding the market, there will probably be a lot of supply pushing the price down. If you're ok with the 28-70, I'de simply keep it, the improvement of the 24-70 is too marginal IMO, and the value is not particularly good anymore with the 24-105 driving down its price. I'm more than happy with my FE85 & the FE35/2.8 at the moment in all honesty. I am going to see what Sigma offer with their FE35 variant though so that may well be a swap about there. I do still have the Batis 85 to put up for sale also. And the Voigtlander CV40 too.
