My last camera was a 5D classic so this is a pretty big step for me. I like it. ![]() You must also moderate the S2k GA facebook page. Jan 31, 2018 23:45 | #456 These were some of the first clicks with the 6D2 for me less than 24hrs after taking delivery. It was a bit of a struggle trying to adjust to a new set of controls in the dark standing out in 25 degree weather. Image hosted by forum (897797) © ct1co2 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Feb 01, 2018 17:30 | #457 wasn't gonna buy a 6d2 this soon but there's a photo expo here and canon philippines just gave a huge discount from the (converted to USD) $2325 down to $1627 (including the ff: 3-year warranty, extra LPE6N, 16GB SDHC, bag, $100 electronic gift cheque, gorilla pod, cleaning kit). I know it's probably cheaper in the states or elsewhere but this is the pricing in our country. I've only had a few minutes with it since I had to take care of the kids, but I'm really liking the viewfinder AF - really big step up from the original 6D (which I still have but will be sold in a month's time). The better AF was what really mattered to me and DPAF helps a lot too. Happy that it didn't grow in size so I can still keep my bag (which is already tight). will join the picture-posting soon enough but for now, I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. Make yourself heard

Feb 04, 2018 05:36 | #460 just got my 6D2 a few days ago and I haven't really been able to put it through its paces...I've just been able to set it up to my liking and I guess the thing I like the most is the new AF system (both VF and DPAF). I particularly like the new 45-pt AF system since it's much easier to nail focus thanks to them being cross-type. The spread isn't too bad especially coming from a 6D. I know the D-pad is no joystick (like the 1D X/5D/7D series) but I've set it up for direct AF point selection and the DOF button for One shot to AI Servo mode. Make yourself heard

Feb 04, 2018 14:05 | #461 Some quick pictures I got of my Grandson's birthday party. This type of shots is one of the reasons I got this camera, and it did not disappoint. Even though I used bounce flash on the camera, I still had to lift some shadows in post, and also reduce some highlights (Especially the shot near the windows) While the lifting and reducing wasn't extreme, to me it was a real world example of the type of editing I would do. Despite the many bad things that are being said about the 6D2 camera, I am beginning to like it. At first, I was not too happy with it but, it is growing on me. I might suggest downloading the Owner's Manual from the Canon Website. It has a lot more information on the camera than that which is published in the printed manual. I purchased the Kindle edition of the David Bush book, "Canon EOS 6D Mark II Guide to Digital SLR Photography" and it is a great addition to the Canon user Manual... https://smile.amazon.com …03,200_QL70_&dpSrc=detail See my images at http://rpcrowe.smugmug.com/
