Haha thanks. Yes this was a pretty awesome scene in Whiting, Indiana which is just 12 miles SE from Chicago. I had seen photos of it on news channels on FB and had been waiting to see something like this in person for a long long time. High winds and single digit temps at the lake front cause this to happen, an ice storm. And this is what it leaves behind. I have many more images which I will share some here and there - a good number taken with the RX10IV so will post a few in that thread.

Here is a self-portrait:

Rasidel - You are just about the only person I can identify and still see regularly from our old hangout at DCRP. Glad to see you are still shooting and producing excellent work. Congrats.

Haha nice! A lot has changed over the interwebs over the years, it's always good to see familiar names! Hope you are doing well and I am glad to be in the scene here again.

I only usually eat half the bun. So that will be OK, won't it? Nothing to get nervous about?

(Nice shot!).

Dunno if you do FB but here is some 360 degree video of the scene, it gives you a much better feel for what it was like. Towards the end of the video you can see the area where I took the shots posted in here. The entire area is covered in ice, so it's fairly tricky to maneuver around.
