Thanks Alfredo. Mine doesn’t even look all that sharp at 24 if I’m being honest.
That sucks Eddie. I will check some images tonight in Lightroom.

Im trying to work out if its acceptable or needs to be returned. If you can be bothered please check this thread - http://www.fredmiranda.com …pic/1528392/0#lastmessage Any advise welcome (Returns are a PITA here) looks bad, maybe physical damage? I had a nikon 14-24 that behaved like that and I had to get it repaired. Afterwards, it was sharp as could be. The cardboard box was a tight fit so no extra padding. Could have been damaged in transit maybe. I’ve requested a return from the seller as I wouldn’t know where to start sending it for repair. I’m just nervous about trying a second copy now Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

I’m just nervous about trying a second copy now my 14-24 came in perfect condition, but it was obvious that an element was out of wack. @ 14mm, DOF would mask, but 24mm and it was way off, all corners really soft, couldnt even get them sharp even if I focused on the corners. Perhaps my copy performs similarly and I haven’t paid enough attention. Now I’m very curious. - Alfredo -

I got the f4 for this years holiday as a lightweight walkabout lens for walking round Disney. My plan was to sell it when I got back, however it’s now become one of my most used lenses
