Apparently they really are called black and red bugs, even though they are more orange than red. I think they might be Lygaeus sp. Taken in Cuba. These are among my first macro shots with the Canon 77D. Seems to work fine. The body only allows even ISO numbers, but that is not a big limitation.

It is like the EOS 80D but with penta-mirror instead of prism. So the 77D is lighter, an advantage for those of us getting a bit old.

The 77D does not do MFA, but the focus seems OK.
