I recognize that corn stalk nubbin :)
Great shot Shooz, so glad you have them this year. 312mm seems really close too.

I had a great run of luck. At one point there was a dozen, practically in my backyard !

Eurasian Wren from this morning.

Woke up to -6 degrees celsius and took the trip to a local bird hotspot. Today the only bird I found was this Eurasian Wren.
Wonderful bird that is very elusive.

I can hardly imagine it, you not shooting birds, Peter.
But it does give time to look at and maybe process a few oldies! :-P

Like a kid with a new toy: Tom Reichner was kind enough to send me his 2XTCIII to test drive. Could not be more happy.
This is out the window on a beanbag rest.

I haven't had much luck in identifying the little gray and white bird. I know someone out there can tell me what it is.

No problem with the red one, though. Everyone knows what it is.

Thank you. I found that in my search, but wasn't sure. There are too many others that look almost the same.

Great captures. I didn't know the Phoebe either until Beekeeper ID'd.
Yep, looked out the kitchen window today and saw 8 Cardinals in one glance.
