Here was a real quick shot from today in the garage. GF's son and neice. Super adorable together - I couldn't resist getting a shot of them together!

One light: XPLOR 600 in a 47" PCB Octabox, in TTL FEC: Minus 1 and 2/3, custom WB set with a Lastolite collapsible grey card, slightly camera left, boomed high on a 45 degree angle. Thunder Grey BG.

Thats great! What do you find best to cut out for changing background?

Do you have an Idea ahead of time as far as color goes? Seems like you used matching gels..

Thanks!

I use the quick selection tool and layer mask

Sometimes i’ll have colors planned out but this had zero direction. It was a blue gel edited to match the background color

Editorial for fashion designer, Emily Daccarett... Trying to establish an "Alice in Wonderland" feel and vibe... Clutch Crowns accessories (neck and head wear) added for fantasy/visual ambiance... Selective coloring was done in post... Model Ximpy of Next Models Agency did a great job in this editorial photoshoot for this designer... More to come... 1DX + 85L... ISO 400, f/2 @ 1/320sec... Profoto B1 + Westcott 36" Deep Octa (high above and right of camera) was used for fill light...

;)

This is a wonderful example of using a strobe/flash whilst retaining a naturally lit feel.
