Love Canon is a group of friends who play 80s hits in bluegrass style. Sounds weird but it's great entertainment! The best (or worst part, depending on your persepctive) is realizing you remembered most of the lyrics to some otherwise pretty crappy songs :-D

I seldom flip to portrait orientation when shooting from the sound board. When I did for this shot the top formation of lights was almost perfect. Nice effect. Not my favorite photo by a long shot but certainly a unique one.

Many modern bluegrass bands are covering all kinds of songs, including some of the bigger groups. I saw Nickel Creek cover Brittney Spears! It was awesome, mostly because it sounded so different from the original but yes I too was quite surprised that I knew the lyrics. :(
