It’s nice. Doesn’t look like winter to me (=snow for me in Canada).
Horizon is off a bit, high on the right.
More contrast/texture in the clouds might be nice.

Well, this is what winter looks like in Portugal :-)

Any suggestions regarding how to get more texture in the clouds?

Create a layer to isolate the sky, crank the contrast and clarity.
Or maybe a gradient filter in Lightroom would do the same.

Jealous of your Portugal.

Agree, it is too blue/saturated.

I think it's possible that if you'd stepped to the left, changed camera height, and aimed a bit to the right, you'd have had rocks of interesting shape, color, and texture prominent in the foreground and the sheen of sand with clouds reflected in them as an interesting mid-ground. The waves and a sky of muted color reaching the horizon would make a pleasant background. Maybe a portion of the point of land jutting toward the ocean would look good to the left of the frame if no roads or buildings were visible or if it were merely in silhouette. The clouds do seem to direct the eye to that point.

Because of the dynamic range, you'd be hard pressed to get a good exposure without bracketing and combining images. The location might be worth visiting later in the day or when clouds diffuse the light somewhat. I also think the image would benefit from warmer tones.

As it is, the picture is just not real interesting to me. Only in theory could I do better. :-D

Thank you very much for your comments. I really need to be careful with that sky editing ;-)a

Regarding the composition, it seemed the best angle to me at the time. I was going for a foreground with the rocks, then middle distance with the water covered sand and the background of ocean, land and sky. I also did my best to catch those leading lines in the sky.

Winters here aren't always this nice but this was actually a good day to take pictures :-)
