Hiya, got myself a good condition (50K Count) Oly E-M1 mk1 with the batt pack fitted, and a Oly 75-300 mft mk2 in mint condition, sold my nikon gear to fund it as I wanted something lighter due to health.
Cant wait to try it out.

You'll have fun and I'm getting that way myself regarding the weight with the 7Dmkll and 100-400mkll combo. Finding it much more pleasurable walking around with a M4/3. Trouble is, my eyesight is failing fast (cataracts) and I'm struggling with manual focusing with the viewfinder on the EM-10. I've got lots of long analog zooms and appropriate adapters but only come up with the odd good shot due to the manual focusing and I hate live view.. Do I sell the 7D combo for a long autofocus zoom? Decisions, decisions? :-)

Welcome to the club! I think you'll find it an absolute treat to be able to carry around a light camera without sacrificing too much quality. Do you have plans to get shorter lenses?

Sorry to hear about your eyes I need glasses for most close stuff, but thankfully I set the vf adjustment at max and seem to get away with it, cant see the lv screen though lol, with the long lens - I was taken with 75-300 mk 2 as its supposed to be very good esp at f8 and the focus is quite rapid and 600mm eqv tempted me.
Cant wait to start posting some pics.

I unloaded my heavy canon full frame gear and L lenses years ago and made the jump to M4/3 and love it and so does my back... Enjoy the setup...

Thank you for the welcome:-)

I might get a no frills WA poss 24mm manual focus to use for my astro work, so I can start to push longer exposures.

Just received the Olly 17mm 1.8. Really happy with it's performance, particularly the 2nd at 1.8...............1/10 sec as well!

The 17mm f1.8 is by far my favorite lens for my E-M1. I prefer the 25mm focal length (50mm equivalent) but the 17mm is so good that I shoot that instead most of the time. The rendering is phenomenal! It seems to get a bad rep on the Mu-43 forum, but I love the lens.

I think I might have spoken to soon despite the earlier pics??

The two best shots from my outdoor session today which was a failure. I'm waiting for a lens hood to arrive so here's hoping that's my problem. They just look "unresolved" poor resolution to me. Whether that's because I'm used to the IQ from full frame and apsc I don't know?? The lens obviously shines in close ups but I shot heaps of landscapes to day but binned the lot :-(

Any ideas?
