so mates... in amazon if you click the 1 star reviews, most folks complain to de-centered focus problem. some went through 3 to 4 copies before they got a good one. what's you experience with this problem?

good to know on your second copy. i will play the lottery game if i get a bad copy. it's not a cheap lens, it must be good.

Nothing fancy, but just testing the lens' behavior on (somewhat of) a flat surface - (never mind the tilt :-))

Again, very un-scientific test for even edge sharpness at f1.4 - straight conversion to jpg, no corrections applied.

To me, the lens looks like a keeper. Plz let me know what you guys think.

slightly sharper in the middle but at F1.4 this looks normal and for portrait it's a non-issue. if you use it for landscape you stopdown to at least F8 anyway so I think it's great.
