Awesome picture, yep 1dx is a great camera, I can only dream of what it’s like with the 500mm lens, unfortunately I sold a kidney to get the 1dx so no chance of ever getting that lens, unless they can bypass my other kidney altogether ߘ

Are you sure? When I worked I was on a pretty low income (sub £20K) and for the last 5 years I get so little I don't even qualify for income tax! So after I lost my job my 1D4 turned into a 1DX, my 300 F4 LI S became a 300 F2.8 L IS, the 17-40 became as 16-35 F4 L IS, the 24-105 magicked into a 24-70 F2.8 L Mk2, the well used 600 F4 L IS became a mintish 800 F5.6 L IS + a 100-400 Mk2 and a 7D2 appeared from somewhere - oh yes one of my Gitzo tripods got upgraded too. Unfortunately the 70-200 F2.8 L IS had to go - but I wasn't using much anyway.

Yes I was VERY lucky on prices! But I was patient, waited and only bought when the price was right for me - incidentally the 800 F5.6 and 300 F2.8 lenses were used all the rest were brand new.

Just funning around but, honestly, all the above is true.

Be patient, save, organise your finances properly and relentlessly hunt down the best prices - then anything in the EOS system is achievable, if you REALLY want it:-)

Polka Dot Delight...

Teen model newcomer, Hannah, was just as comfortable in front of the camera as her older sister Tori... This was Hannah's first test shoot with me and will certainly not be the last... Wishing her nothing but the best in all her modeling endeavors... 1DX + 85LII... ISO 400, f/1.8 @ 1/200sec... Profoto B1 + Westcott 36" Deep Octa with Profoto TTL triggers... Strobe was high, above left of camera...

;)

One Lp-E4n and one LP-E4 in my case - more than enough.

Technically I have 4... Two of which are from my 1D4 (LP-E4)... And two for the 1DX (LP-E4n)... Of course the "n" version is higher capacity...

;)

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 1Dx battery I am only asking because locally in my area there for sale 2 for 175. Thinking of making an offer. But honestly I think 2 is enough.

That's a good deal for two LP-E4N batteries!!! But your two should be efficient enough...

At that price I would love two! Pity I am so far away and our Customs love to take a little (or not so little) cut on goods from the US:-(

The night I photographed "Corporate Cityscape", it was hazy as hell... Did all I could to clear it up in post... Oh well... Will try again after we get a good rainfall... Hehehehe... Captured with my 1DX + 500 4.5L combo... ISO 100, f/8 @ 6 second exposure...

;)

Editorial for fashion designer, Emily Daccarett... Trying to establish an "Alice in Wonderland" feel and vibe... Clutch Crowns accessories (neck and head wear) added for fantasy/visual ambiance... Selective coloring was done in post... Model Ximpy of Next Models Agency did a great job in this editorial photoshoot for this designer... More to come... 1DX + 85L... ISO 400, f/2 @ 1/320sec... Profoto B1 + Westcott 36" Deep Octa (high above and right of camera) was used for fill light...

DTLA Cityscape Skyline...

A rarity with SoCal weather, of late... Crisp and clean visibility... A combination of cold temperatures and windy weather helped produce the clarity of downtown Los Angeles, with the San Gabriel Mountains as its backdrop... Too bad there wasn't any snow capped mountains, but I'll take it... Captured from the infamous Baldwin Hills Overlook location... One of a few favorite locations to shoot the DTLA skyline... 1DX + 70-200L IS (Version 1)... Lee 105mm CPL Filter + Lee 0.9 GND Filter (stacked)... ISO 200, f/9 @ 1/160sec...

:D

Editorial photoshoot for Emily Daccarett Designs... The sun flare added a nice touch to the "Alice in Wonderland" theme we were trying to convey... 1DX + 85LII... ISO 400, f/2 @ 1/500sec... Lee 0.9 ND Filter and Lee 105mm CPL Filter (stacked)... Profoto B1 + Westcott 36" Deep Octa for fill light on our beautiful model, Ximpy...
