Anyone else grab one? I couldn't resist a 20% off sale here, local stock. Had it about a week now, and it's a ripper camera. Everything about it is just fast, fluid, precise and accurate. Quite a step up from my GX8, which I'm still a huge fan of. Autofocus continuous works a treat. DFD has come of age. As has the IBIS. I'll post up some pics when I get a chance. Still doing a bit of setting up. Lots to customize as far as wheels, dials and controls.

Yes! So good I finally flogged all my Canon stuff after 20 years. Really impressive bit of kit. Been using GH4 and GH5 for video for years now - the G9 sticks (almost) all that video capability in a body that can keep up with a 7D2 for stills.

Just adding some better quality lenses to my Panny kit to get the most out of it. 35-100 2.8 arrived yesterday - brilliant combo on the G9. CAF tracks fantastically well. Just waiting on a Pannyleica 8-18 and i’ll be happy.

Flogged the GX8 as it seemed a bit superfluous. Not small enough to be used over my GM1/GX1 and not as well specced as the G9. Never really took to it - was a bit of a clumsy lump compared to some of their other bodies.

Will post pics once I have something worth looking at!

Ha. I bought my GX8 as an experiment, mainly because of Canons refusal to produce some basic, fast EFS primes. Come on, how hard would it be to make a reasonably priced, and reasonable quality range in 15, 24, 35 and 55mm f/1.8-2 ? They've shown that they can do it with the EFM 22 pancake, but simply want to force buyers into full frame if you want fast primes. I'm not playing.
Anyway, m4/3 took on a life of its own, sold my 6D, and now I have the G9, the rest is gone :) It's a ripper of a camera for sure. I have the Panasonic Leica 15 mm f/1.7 20 mm f/1.7 pancake, Panasonic Leica 25 mm f/1.4, 42.5 f/1.7 and the Panasonic Leica 8-18. It's a spectacular little kit.
Fuji is about the only other maker that's seen the light, and created a proper, format specific crop system of lenses. Good on them too. I wanted the smaller size and lighter weight, so went m4/3. Very very happy I did. DFD in the G9 is spectacular I reckon. It's uncanny. As long as you give it something to work with in the viewfinder., it simply nails it. And I've only used it for a week or so

I ready to jump to the G9 and M4/3.

I am shooting an 80D but getting tired of lugging around all these big heavy lenses.

I played with the G9 a few times at the camera store and frankly it's impressive.

I'm struggling a little with the cost... $1,700 for the body and another $1,000 for the 12-60 2.8-4... Ugh.

Sooner than later though I'm probably going to take the leap!

I'm tempted . . But maybe im just a bit gassy at the moment

Well I had the gx8.. ended up selling for 2 reasons .. 1-poor low light..and 2 - couldn't use the lights i wanted ..

#2 had been solved.
#1... well it is still a m43 so,,,

But I have other ff and apsc Bodies to cover me in low light.

But then that reminds me , I've got more camera bodies than I know what to do with.

Seriously though I did enjoy many aspects or m43 when i had it and the g9 seems like a very capable system

I trade my Canon 6D and lenses in and got the G9. I am no brillant photog, I am old and not nerd or geek. Only taken a few pics so far but I love it.

something somewhat different from me!
