This was my second visit to Panacea, FL. The Panhandle-famous Gulf Specimen Lab is a treasure trove for anyone with kids who like to get up-close-and-personal with starfish, sponge, and sharks alike.

I have never seen a conch outside of its shell before this, so this was a first for me.

In spite of many attempts to get a suitable shot of an extremely aggressive octopus, this was my guy.

Still.

Steadfast.

Steady.

I'll have to give the octopus another go, and maybe he'll not act like he wants to eat my camera.

Surprisingly I had a couple to chose from.

There was "art thru water"

I had the cultural element of "Apache Drums"

And I had "Canal Crossing"

But in the end.......

I am choosing the reflection of the flag for my "Wet"

Nice shots everyone, I’m not going to have an entry this week as I meant to do it before I headed on this trip with the family.

my original intent was for something similar to Charlie, a wet landing of one of the ring neck ducks on the pond...that didn't pan out...then I was going to do something in the rain this weekend...but it only rained at night...so I am going to enter one of the BIF last week that I did get...where just the tips of the wing got "wet"....

What a great variety of creative images depicting the theme "wet". I always hate it when I have to choose one image above the others, especially when they are all so good.

Having said that, in my opinion, I think 5280Pics entry fits the theme of "wet" the best. Congrats to 5280Pics and thanks to everyone who submitted an entry. I think they're all winners in my book.

Oh, I was happy to see things do get wet in Arizona sometimes too.

WooHoo! Thank ya! :-D
Great entries, all! For this weeks theme lets do "Numbers". Your shot should include printed numbers as part of the overall composition. This can be anything from a street sign to a licence plate to, whatever your imagination can work out. Happy shooting photogs! :-)

How strict is the “should contain printed numbers “ rule? I’ve got an idea but it doesn’t involve print
