.....I recently entered three of my pictures into a juried, categorized competition at the Florida State Fair. It turned out to be a fair sized field, maybe 800 pictures.

I found out yesterday that two of them took second place in two different categories. So, I'm kind of excited.....won a few bucks and of course some ribbons. Fun stuff.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

This is the Orion Nebula (M42). It is the result of eighty 30 second exposures stacked with DeepSkyStacker (freeware). The Running Man Nebula (M43) is to the left.
