I recently acquired one of these cameras along with my first lens, a 645 fa 75 2.8. I can already tell by shooting with this model that I will be purchasing its replacement by the end of summer. The grip alone is so much better than any body I have ever owned, it's a pure joy to hold and use.

My first attempt, a "selfie".

Hello Thorrulz,
Did you deliberately process this image to be somewhat dark and somewhat warm? The shadows on the ground give away the fact that bright sun was present, and the image was not late in the day to cause the warmth.
Your outdoor shots seem to be all rather underexposed. I took the liberty of taking one photo and altering it to be appropriate to time of day.
Exposure +1.5EV, bring up the Shadows for better detail, set White Brightness to render snow in sunlight to be neutral white...

Nice edit, I actually had a filter on the front of the lens that I just have taken off so the landscape shots should look more natural from now on.

Incredibly nice skin tones. What film are you shooting? I have a Mamiya C-33, that I refuse to get rid of....haven't used it in almost 20 years.

Thanks, it's a digital camera, though I did look at the Pentax 645N before purchasing the 645D. I couldn't resist after Adorama had dropped the price on the used digital bodies from $3000.00+ down to under $2000.00 earlier this year.

Oh! I missed that "D"! So used to the 645 of years past. Well, still excellent skin tones. Good choice of body, nice to do something different from the rest of the crowd.

Thanks, I always wanted to give medium format a try but didn't want to invest several thousand dollars into it before knowing if I would really like it or not. At roughly $2500 for the body, lens and other accessories in the photo above I've decided that it was worth it and will be selling off some of my other gear to fund more lenses for the D.

I have several families wanting pictures taken over the next few weeks so I should be able to start recouping some of my investment back and will be sharing more pics as I take them.

The weather has finally begun to stabilize here in the Midwest so I will be able to get out to shoot subjects other than myself. I bought a Cactus VII transceiver so my 645D could exceed its flash sync speed of 1/125th of a second. No I can use hss up to 1/4000th of a second. The 1st pic taken below is of myself at 1/2500 with the flash at 1/8th power in full sunlight. The next two are of the camera, triggering system and field monitor.
